What happens to a friendship lost?
Does it simply fade
like the sunlight after a long day?
Does it become a memory
that slips to the back of the mind left forgotten?
Like a child's old toy laying untouched in the attic.
Maybe it's as if it never happened.
Like a conversation spoken between two strangers.
Or does it turn into hate?
